We're not a brand. We're a family.
Wright's Honey is built by two people. One runs the apiary in Northland — harvest, packing, dispatch. The other runs everything else — store, ads, customer messages. Every jar comes from our hives. Every label is hand-applied. Every order is real.

Common questions
Why is my honey sometimes thick or crystallised?
That's just what raw honey does. We don't heat it past hive temperature, so the natural sugars crystallise over time — especially in cooler months. To liquefy: stand the jar in warm (not hot) water for 10 minutes. Heat above 40°C kills enzymes, which is exactly why we don't heat it ourselves.
What does the MGO number mean?
MGO (methylglyoxal) is the natural compound unique to genuine Manuka honey. It's what makes Manuka different from any other honey in the world. Higher numbers = more concentrated. 100+ is mild and great for daily use; 350+ is our most popular grade for gut and immunity routines.
How does shipping work?
Free NZ shipping on orders over $50. Otherwise flat $7. Orders go out within 1-2 business days from our shed in Northland. Tracked courier.
Do you ship overseas?
Currently NZ only. Australia is on the list — we're working out the supply side. Drop your email in the newsletter signup if you'd like to be notified when AU shipping opens.
Why glass and not plastic?
Plastic leaches into honey over time, especially raw honey which sits on shelves for months. Glass doesn't. Heavier to ship, breaks if you drop it — we wear those costs gladly.
Does the honey expire?
Honey doesn't really expire. We put a best-before date on the jar because regulations require it, but stored sealed in a cool dark place, raw honey lasts indefinitely. Crystallisation isn't spoilage.
